           The economic policies of countries have left the rich countries rich and the poor countries poor.  Ultimately, the economic differences will play a part in each nation’s economic stability.  The economy of the United States creates exceptionally high levels of poverty in the United States due to the low redistribution of income.  (1)  However, due to the low minimum wage in the state of Ohio, Cincinnati cannot share this The United States is the productivity leader in nearly every industry.  As a result, the United States has established laws to serve the interests of consumers and industry.  (2)  From the 1990’s and into the present, companies such as Wal-Mart have led national productivity statistics, where the competitors and smaller companies must compare in sales or go out of business.  (3)
         
As a result, many businesses have turned to outsourcing to create lower profits in America.  Outsourcing is defined as “
work done for a company by another company or people other than the original company's employees.  Outsourcing entails purchasing a product or process from an outside supplier rather than producing this product or process in-house.”  (4)
         
Within the state of Ohio, the basic minimum wage per hours is $4.25 per hours, which is .90 cents below the Federal Minimum wage of $5.15.  (5)  The average cost of living within Cincinnati, Ohio varies upon location.  When compared to the average cost of living in the United States, a person who made $30,000 a year was making slightly less than the national average.  (6)  As a result of outsourcing, there are fewer jobs within Cincinnati.  Because of this, people become more desperate for jobs and therefore more desperate and competitive for lower wages.
