Keeler in Czech

Updated April 24, 2017

Several Keeler novels were published in Czechoslovakia before the Second World War.

Cestující lebka (Prague: Jan Naňka, Praha, 1937): this is the Czech translation of The Riddle of the Traveling Skull. It is described as a dobrodružný román, or adventure novel.

Noci v Sing-Singu (Prague: Jan Naňka, 1937): The translation of Sing Sing Nights features three convicts contemplating their imminent electrocution.

Noci v Sing-Singu (Brno: Návrat, 1999): This reissue is illustrated by Josef Pospíchal, who was clearly inspired by the original dustjacket but chose to depict a guardtower rather than an electric chair.
