Welcome! We are students currently enrolled in Dr. Christina Fisanick's Honors Rhetoric Class at Xavier University, located in Cincinnati, OH. For our semester project, we were assigned the challenge of creating a website, with a subject of our choosing. As you can see, we chose the topic of military spending in the United States. To explore deeper, however, we decided to base this site not simply on the technology federally funded within the military, but also on the question of whether or not so much of this country's federal dollars should be filtered directly to such technologies. Based on our findings, we, as a group, feel that our nation's educational programming is suffering on account of a lack of federal funding. In this case, we are proposing that partial military funding be reallocated to the direct increase of educational quality in the United States. We understand that this is suggesting a lot, but if you continue to read further into our statistical findings, along with our own personally drawn conclusions, you may also come to realize that this country's priorities may need to be rethought. Certainly we are pro-America, and we are definitely very supportive of our national administration. We also realize that at this time the national security of the United States is a top priority. However, taking a logical stance on this subject matter before it becomes a lingering problem is the best way for our country to certify a safe and prosperous future. For more extensive information on the United State's federal spending please read the Introductory Essay.
