A Look at My Literacy History
A room without books is like a body without a soul. |

My name is Jessica Anne Moman and I am currently a twenty year old female at Xavier University. I was born on February 11, 1984 in Henderson, Kentucky. Currently I am pursuing a major in English and a minor in Political Science. After I graduate next spring, I plan on attending law school at the University of Kentucky. I am a Caucasian from the United States with German background. I was raised in a religious household that practiced the Roman Catholicism. I have one older sister, Kristy, who is 36 years old and two older brothers, Jason who is 33, and Jody, who is 28. My mom, Jean, is 57 and my dad, Herman, is 52. Growing up I'd say that economically we were comfortable. I think I developed such a love for reading because such a big emphasis was placed on it when I was growing up. My dad is a high school English teacher and books were always around my house. Some of my earliest memories are of my parents reading to me. Reading is something that has shaped who I am today and I believe it will continue to shape who I become in the future. |
